What does happiness mean to you? Do you accept the fact that you are imperfect? What’s the link between the two?
WHAT ARE THE KEY FACTORS FOR DETERMINING IF WE ARE TRULY AND AUTHENTICALLY HAPPY?
I watched a documentary film the other night called Happy, written and co-produced by Academy Award nominated film-maker Roko Belic. It’s an interesting film that explores human happiness by interviewing «happiness researchers» – I frankly didn’t know they existed – and people from different walks of life from various countries. I found quite interesting that they allude to the fact that happy people will have more success at work and in their career. Coming to think of it, this makes sense…don’t we all prefer to deal with someone who is authentically happy? And don’t we feel like we have more energy to accomplish our tasks when we are happy?
So I started searching for a book on happiness and found one by Brené Brown called “The Gifts of Imperfection” – which I intend to read – and finally fell upon this video of her giving a talk which I found absolutely captivating!
