New Year Beginning… Great Opportunity to Start Fresh!

I don’t mean a complete overhaul of my life of course…but I always like to take the opportunity at the beginning of a new year to make resolutions and set some goals for myself.

Take a step back and reflect — Am I satisfied with where I’m at? Can I do better?

I have set my mind on these resolutions…

More exercise
I know it’s not original. But with health being the most important thing… And exercise having so many positive effects on our health. There is definitely room for improvement in my quest to find the right balance between work, blog, family and exercise.

Get my 8 hours of sleep
In 2016 I managed to get rid of my insomnia, which was a huge accomplishment for me. I now get about 6-7 hours of sleep a night. My goal in 2017 is to bring that up to 7-8 hours. When there is so much to do, sleep becomes very important.

Be more patient
I’m so impatient! Can I blame technologies in general? For having accustomed us to a high speed of life maybe? I must say that all those techno tools we now cannot live without are probably my number one cause for ‘losing’ it sometimes. I don’t know what technique I will be using to improve on that one…Challenge ahead!

Less worry about the small stuff
I still tend to worry about little things that I know deep down aren’t that important in life — so what if the house is a bit messy… — if it means freeing up some time to spend on things that are important to me, like exercise…

Reduce the number of “excuse me“, “I’m sorry
There are situations where an appropriate apology is needed and I’m not talking about those. I’m referring to the times I use one of these expressions and there’s no real need for it. I think I do this really more as a way of courtesy. But I know that in a work and business environment, this makes you seem insecure. So it’s a habit to quit.

Lots of work for me this year, but I’m up for it!

Happy New Year!
I wish you health, peace,
stimulating work projects
and great success in what
you undertake!

Tell me, are you making any interesting resolutions this year?

Spread the love
